Negativity from one or two discouraged students can spread throughout the classroom rather rapidly. Before starting your classroom guitar program, decide the best strategy to deal with it. Have a solution in mind; it is certain to happen.
After just a few weeks in guitar class, some students are going to shut down and quit trying. As their teacher, make a decision to help students be successful in class or let them fail. The latter should not be a conscious decision until every effort to save a student has been exhausted.
